Most of you I'm sure will be coming from east of the Rocks nice flat land thousands of airports smooth as a babies behind. Then there are us NW owners... plot a line from KEAT to T82 you will see what a fun challenge this will be. Its you, your ship, your knowledge of weather, your technology against mother nature. I love this stuff this is what I live for! The Rocks have tried to kick my ass twice out of three crossings already this year thank God for the RCM Hotshot one crossing 17,999 ft and the other 16,500 to get over the top. I have three plans to choose from all depending on the mood of the almighty mother at the start. The fastest and safest jump the Rocks in Washington or Grand Tetons Jackson Hole ID. hit the flat and head south. 2. Vegas, Grand Canyon, South to Las Cruces and head east . 3. Follow the coast flat lands south to Phoenix then take whats left of the Rocks & Sierras east. First choice safety we are planning two nights for a 1600 km 12 to 14 hr flight. It takes what it takes is my moto I love little FBOs and Hotels anyway. You haven't lived till your view out the window is 12 to 14k peaks all day long! Yes I'm getting pumped.
