Ride Coordination from DEN for 2017 COG Fly-In

There are a fair number of folks flying in commercial and I thought a thread to help them coordinate would be a good idea. It is an expensive cab fare, even on Uber. OK ... for me, I am flying my plane from northern MI to Fort Colins this Sunday, leaving it, then flying commercial to Dallas and then Columbus OH then back to Denver. Long story, but business demanded it. So I am interested in:

Ride share from Denver to Fort Collins Wednesday Evening after 8:30 PM. Anyone else coming in around that time?

If we can get a group together - I can provide transportation on Wednesday night from KDEN. I won't be able to attend the fly-in with the date changes, but, I can help people get over there Wednesday afternoon/night. I have an Explorer so can fit 4 - 5 people - depending on luggage.

Just let me know..... another option.... if anyone wants to -- KFTG can provide a shuttle service between KDEN and KFTG - so any one who flies in commercially could coordiate with the Commander folks who could fly into KFTG and pick people up (or the reverse would hold true as well for departures).

Looks like Dean has the solution. Leave your plane at KFTG and use their shuttle to/from DEN.

Long story but my wife is coming in to DEN commercially and I am flying the plane up to KFNL.
In looking into what the options were available for her to get up there in case I didn't get in early enough to go get her, I found the attached shuttle service.

Called them and they leave every 1:10 minutes or so. Pretty reasonable and no reservation necessary. They are located in the baggage claim area.

another option would be for people to catch the light rail into downtown $8 or $9 - that drops you at Union Station in lower downtown denver... lots of great restaurants and bars... a meeting spot that'd be closer than the airport.

Not sure about Denver, but most of the FBO's servicing larger airports in the Southeast have horridness ramp fees. B-ham wanted $40 just to stop and pickup a load of puppies. Same with Huntsville wanting $40 for a pax drop. I can see overnight fee's but just to stop and go . .???

I don't know of any of the airports around Denver that have charged a ramp fee for a single. I've flown in and out of KAPA, KFTG, KFNL and a few others without being charged anything. As you pointed out they may have an overnight fee but, not a ramp fee - that I've ever incurred or been charged. KAPA is most likely the airport that would charge one as busy as they are.

Never seen ramp fee's at a fly in. If they want ramp fee's you take your buisness elsewhere. 50+ planes is great for their business.

OK, I am picking up a car this Sunday night at Fort Collins where I am positioning 43W prior to the Fly-In, then departing DEN Monday morning.

I will arrive Wednesday Night back at DEN at 10:25 on Delta, getting the car from parking and driving to Fort Colins to the hotel. If that helps anyone please let me know. Wouldn't mind some company that late after working and travelling all day.
