Hey Guys and Gals,

As we work to firm-up the 2016 Fly-In Seminar/Presentation content we thought that it would be interesting to know which EFB is the most popular among our members who use tablets in the cockpit.

For those using an EFB not mentioned above, would you reply and state what you are using?

Thanks...

...Bob J.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I have been using iFly for some time now. Very happy with it!!

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I've been using WingX. Switched from Foreflight when WingX came out with ADS-B weather. Been very happy with it so I've kept using it.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I've been using Wing X for a long time. I have been playing with FlyQ a little also recently.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I fly with Garmin Pilot, I believe they are all somewhat the same in a sense of what they offer and ease of use.....I think it's just what you get accustomed to using at that time....I'm really not sure that one is better or worse than the others so to speak especially when it comes to the top three or four top brands.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I've been using Voyager for years now. I've always like that it runs on a tablet PC.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

Since 2012 have been using Ifygps 720 then bought 2nd and now running a 740 and panel velcro'd 720. The op features exceed some of the very expensive MFDS and I luv the 'real view airport' features that show google earth like position for airport ops. Or IFR airport diagrams. Also run on phone & tablet with ADSB Dual x70 bluetooth connection and easy wifi updates.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I mostly use ForeFlight, but also own a lifetime subscription to FlyQ, and like it as well. I try to alternate using them so I don't get too dependent on one or the other. But frankly, I know FF so well that I can do pretty much everything with it a LOT faster than with FlyQ, even though I think FlyQ may have a better user interface design for most things you do in flight. I've tried most of the others, and really don't care for the way they work. But again, I learned FF first...

Wing X

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I was a WingX user. It is a really great program. I switched to FlyQ about 2 years ago after visiting with all the providers at Oshkosh and getting into more detail. They are all good. I concluded for me and especially IFR flying that FlyQ was the best overall. Major focus of theirs is to use less keystrokes for getting wherever you want to go or any info. Only 1 or 2 about 90% of the time.

They were also the nicest and most helpful at Oshkosh. Their customer service is top drawer.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I use Avare, but have been trying FltPlan Go lately. I use the excellent FltPlan filing services and it is nice that it integrates well.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I Fly 740......very happy with it!

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

IflyQ with dual 170 for traffic and weather.

Re: Quick EFB Software Poll...

I use Garmin Pilot. Have it on both my iphone 6plus and my mini-ipad 2. Very happy with Garmin Pilot, especially showing weather and traffic on the map page. Also using Garmin GDL88 and Flight Stream 210 to be in full compliance with the ADSB in/out mandate. 28 day downloads are easy and quick.
