Proud Father

Re: Proud Father

even better ... there is a very good chance that Conor (so many different spellings here!) and bride and baby will be moving to our area this summer. He is extremely handy, loves to build stuff, fix stuff, wax the plane, etc. etc. I think my life is about to get easier! Plus will be nice to have another pilot for dog trips. Now he has to get his IFR so he can fly Wings of Mercy people trips!

Scott,
Apologize for the spelling, Us folks down here in lower Alabama tend to do that from time to time. :o
Our kids’ names are fairly easy; Vern, Bubba, BillyBob . . .

Re: Proud Father

No reason that anyone would know the correct spelling! No worries. Just funny. Conor just sent this pic commemorating the event.

Re: Proud Father

Looks like he'll need that Commander to fit that frame in.....

Re: Proud Father

He is 6'5" ... but we flew together in the Remos and it was surprisingly comfortable. Flew with the doors off ... just a gas. Anyone who has never flown in a light sport with doors off, I highly recommend it! Back to the roots.

Re: Proud Father

That's how I did my BFR when I got back into flying a few years ago. It was a cross-country flight from Addison (KADS) to Georgetown (KGTU) in a Remos with the doors off. Flew it at 6500 feet, where the air was about 70 degrees F (was almost 90 degrees F on the ground). Visibility was fantastic, and it was the closest thing to being back in a helicopter I had experienced in quite a while. Lots of fun.
