Conor Sedam, Solo at 10 hours last Saturday, Aurora, IL in a Remos. Doors off.

p.s. 6'5" and he fits fine in a Remos! Loves it, says it is like flying a kite with power. Says Commander now feels like a Mack truck. (still happy to be first in the inheritance line, though.)

Re: Proud Father

A big thrill to be remembered for life!

Re: Proud Father

I told you those 114 feel like trucks. Congrats to your son, now keep an eye on the plane keys.

That's what happens when you put a big engine out front...

Re: Proud Father

Scott,

That is very cool! It's great to see the passion passed to the next generation.

Congrats to you and Connor.

Re: Proud Father

Scott-Nice and let him just get wet and do all his primary training in the Commander-114 a complex and high performance aircraft and get it all done at the same time, besides I bet sons that have dads that own planes have the lowest cost for training too.

Re: Proud Father

Congratulations Conor and Scott. Wonder who is going to fly right seat now :-)

Re: Proud Father

Well done Conor! In another year we all will read how he is teaching Scott to be a better pilot:)

Re: Proud Father

No doubt it will come to him teaching me, but for now he still finds my "Zen of Landing" techniques unfathomable. That "unconscious competent" state takes awhile. Looking at him finishing in the 114, but it is complicated. have a great instructor here in Detroit who could do it, but he is in Chicago and insanely busy. Don't know of a Commander-Qualified instructor over there.

Re: Proud Father

After my son got his ticket a few years back. The first thing he did was get a complex and high power endorsement. My son Joe, like Conor is 6' 5". He loves the Commander and now I'm relegated to the right seat when he flies with me.
