Re: Poll: Right or Left Handed Pilots

Clearly a "rigged" poll given the descriptions. I didn't realize you were an inspiring politician, Scott.

Is it rude to say...........I don't care?

Re: Poll: Right or Left Handed Pilots

Funny Scott! Write with Right,
Takeoff with both, Fly/ Land with Left, right on Control Quadrant.
Work on Turbo oil drain clamps & Elevator Screws with Both hands.
Couldn't mess with you and check all three.
Sherman wrapping up Annual.

Re: Poll: Right or Left Handed Pilots

Eat both.
Sign both, write right.
Shoot shotgun both eyes open from either.
Don't have any shirts that button girl ways.
Shoes on both feet.
Rifle - right eye.
Landing left....sometime right.
No right belt buckles except when passenger.

So.........Scott..........what is the right answer ??

Rigged yes. Given this group, the chance to identify with forces of evil will definitely skew it to the left hand choice.
Politics, never. Too honest and transparent.

Probably, Herman. If you don't care, don't open the post. It was clearly labelled. I think a more appropriate description description is not that any of us care ... but we are curious. And it is indeed, curious, that left handedness in the COG population so far seems to run about 3X the predicted amount. If that turns out to be true against a large sample, there has to be something going on there.

Sherman ... I anticipated that possibility, so I set up the poll so you could ONLY chose one!

Interesting thus far.

Right Scott, but what is particularly pertinent to me, and nevervwould have been, is HOW much I use, need, depend on MY Left Arm/hand, a constant awareness since my August 13 shoulder dislocation.

Moving Yoke fore/aft AND Rotations with Left Hard requires Left shoulder smooth action.
Closing upper door Cam. Climbing R wing (grab handle top of fuselage).

So Yes, results NOT surprisingly. Flying and 'getting around'/repairing our birds MUCH easier with Ambidextrous skills.

Example proving I'm 80%+: . I'm on creeper under Lower cowling. Carefully finagled left arm UP thru support bars to HOLD lower Turbo Oil Drain CLAMP, (Rotator cuff action usually taken for granted).

while using 1/4" drive socket to tighten clamp around hose. Took me 30+ minutes, but got it snuggled up.( In Annual safety checks)
(Since you did & didn't ask)!
:) Sherman
