Just some preliminary planning, the Hangar 9 FBO gets great reviews. I have a few places bookmarked. The older(23 y/o) Son & I would be flying out to check a few things. I was planning a little R&R in the evening. Anyhow, I’ll give a trip report if it all comes to fruition. If anyone needs an excursion to an ‘open State’, worth a thought.

Joe, what do you mean by "Open State"?

By open State I mean almost zero Covid restrictions. WI is approaching have open, IL not. Just wanting to go where one can move around as normal.

The main area for the few Covid cases in SD are SE, Sioux Falls area.

Ok, Thanks. We are pretty much open around here i.e. AL,TN, GA, AR, KY. In our county and surrounding counties we don't have that many. We had 4 cases, but they have recovered.

I am headed to Kansas and Oklahoma - There was a prairie fire that went through the cemetery where my grandparents etc are buried so do some cleaning, then to see mom in Norman. -- Should be pretty distant from pretty much everyone.

FWIW, I saw a touch of weather moving towards the upper plains, so a quick SD trip is on hold/delay. I was looking forward to ‘Slackers’ and then the ‘Flame’ restaurant in Aberdeen, on hold now. I did a short local flight today. There was also an unusual 15+ kt tailwind heading NW, hard to turn that down too.

Trip is back on, leaving tomorrow morning(29 May) weather looks great.

Made it to Aberdeen, besides some headwind, all was fine. Out & about with the rental SUV for a few days, RTB Monday or Tuesday.

A bit quiet, a fair amount out fishing though.
