Oshkosh Friday Night COG Gathering North 40

Hosting our usual COG Oshkosh North 40 Gathering Friday evening for anyone around. Lonnie will be there this year and Sid and Sherman almost always. Mike Wetherbee, I think. Usually, pick up 3 or 4 more. All welcome. Informal. We will have some things but if you bring something to drink for yourself and something to throw on the grill that is helpful. But we will at least have beer and sausages! snacks, etc. Always have Scotch and Colorado Whiskey.

Feel free to call or text me: 248.390.0773 or my son, Conor, 248.390.0062. Text is usually better especially if the airshow is going on. We will be back there by 6:00 PM at the latest .

Will post location Friday by Noon. Hope to have our state of Michigan Flag flying.

That makes 9 COG Members... maybe 10 because I think maybe I missed one? With accompanying friends and family, that could give us a nice group of 15+.
If you have a lightweight portable chair or two please bring them. We will bring enough beer for a beverage or two apiece but if you can tote something with you , that will help. We will freeze up a few packs of sausages and dogs so we will have something for everyone for the grill.

Scott, if you missed my other post, Unable to 'Do Oshkosh ' this year due to a number of Factors. Sid should have arrived Saturday evening. Did work on plane yesterday as we had 1 day below 90 (mid 80s, 70s evening) after weeks of 100s&107-115 deg real feel temps. So I appreciate the OSHKOSH weather. Today hot again but bearable doing Farm Lodge & Rainwater Canopy repairs & Staining. Family coming Friday for several days-both Locations.
Can send Bialys if you want Bubbi?

Nah! Scott's got some Canadian in him (literally, Canadian parts) that make him polite and forgiving to a fault... But if you want anything to drink, I'd bring some beer anyway... When the COG folks get together, beer mystically disappears very quickly. Must be the circling angels...

Wish I could be there with you guys. Granddaughter due on 8/1, so no OSH for me this year. The "consolation prize" will be pretty cool, though!

Congrats on that, Jim. That is very special. We sold our big house to my oldest son, his wife and the 2.5-year-old grandson and we are "squatting" with them till my wife and I find our new place ... and having the time of our lives. Every day is a gift with that little guy -- who LOVES airplanes and looks up to see everyone that flies over.

TIME CHANGE !!!!!!

Due to unforseen circumstances, Conor and I cannot arrive until the show opens tomorrow at 6:00 PM. We are planning to be near Ripon when that happens and get right in. So .... officially we are saying 7:30, but if you are around and you want to come at 7:00 that is fine. We just need a bit of time to unpack and set-up, but we are pretty good at that. Tell anyone else you know. Just text me to 248.390.0773 and we will return text our location in the North 40. (parking is never an issue this late in the week. )

I took the bus to the north 40 today a saw 4 commanders. Two on each side of 9/27. I saw Sids and Rogers plane by the shower house.
