Oshkosh 2023

As I write this from mid-state Minnesota (112 miles north of Mpls), it’s 66 degrees with a brisk breeze coming from the NW off the lake. Ann is wrapped in a blanket on the couch and we turned on the forced air furnace.
But guess what the forecast is for next week when we want to camp out @ Airventure? 91 degrees! I guess we forgot to put in a request for comfortable temps for the airshow…

Here in Saint Louis is like a 100 degrees!!! your description or mid-state Minnesota makes me want to move up there!!!

Ann had volunteered to go to Airventure with me this year, but she has officially canceled now that the forecast includes temperatures in the 90’s. I was surprised she’d agreed to go in the first place, as she’s more of a Glamper than a Camper. But in reality, she would have been Glamping next to a Commander…so I have to give her credit for that!

I might fly over Sunday when the high temp is 81…
we’re busy doing maintenance @ the cabin until then.
But I’ve heard that even the vendors have packed up by then, any truth to this rumor?

Hey guys....the human body can withstand 90 degree temperatures. I did not go this year, but I have been 10-12 times and I will take 90+ degree temperatures over near tornadic storms that seemingly happened every year.

Those are scary in a tent.

Gang ... Tony V, his Commander partner Peter and I went earlier in the week. It was horribly hot, but thank goodness, we had an air-conditioned house. Great fun. But I did see many ambulances on the grounds.
