It was great meeting Greg. Very nice guy and enjoyed talking to him. He is not exaggerating when he says hes a big guy. I ran some weight and balance numbers to see where we'd be if we went flying and brought my son too. From what I can tell the max weight in the front seats is 400#'s total so with he and I thats about 460 or so. It also put us well forward of the envelope with us in front and my 125# son in the rear with even 150 pounds in the tail. I told Greg Im not sure how a 112 would be since the engine is lighter it might not be so far forward and you could use less ballast but I dont know. His head was pretty much touching the ceiling even with no headset on and as he said his left knee was kinda jammed up against the yoke.
Does anyone know if in fact the limit is 400#'s in the front? I had assumed that because thats where my chart tops out. I know once you start adding more weight the CG is going to start really moving forward too but I never really thought about because any combination in my family is not a factor given our weights.
Thanks,
Tim
