Well, after quite a lot of searching and thought I’ve got a sales contract on my airplane. The prebuy starts Tuesday and there are no red or yellow flags going into it. A lot of things weighed in on the decision ultimately, and I decided to go with a 2005 SR22 with a full G500 retrofit. It’s a nice looking plane, but it’s no Commander. When I come across one in the ramp I’ll always wonder whether that should have been my airplane. I have to say that I found Davis Hunt, a broker representing a late model West Coast based 115TC to be straight shooting and very responsive; I’d recommend contacting him wholeheartedly to anyone currently in the market.
