Hello everyone. New to this forum. Just bought a 1979 114A (14531). Have done all my flying time so far in the Air Force. 3,500 hours total, mostly on F-16s but also several hundred hours on SF-260 (same IO-540). EASA CPL, IR and Aerobatic. Fairly new to GA, so looking forward to learning from you all.

Hello Harry, welcome to the group, and congratulations on the purchase of your '79 114. You will find a wealth of information on this forum, and amazing support from the members. Glad to have you as an additional member to add your expertise and insight to the members of this group.

Welcome to the group Harry and congratulations on your new plane. You will find so much useful information here on the site.

Next thing you need to do is to get your information in your signature. Model , year, tail number, serial number and your home airport. This really helps when you ask a question, a lot of things are serial number specific.

Life is a barrel of fun.

beat you to it Joel.

Welcome to the group - I don't know how anyone can own a commander without being involved here. The amount of information you will find is priceless.

Thank you for your service!

Congrats on the Commander 114 purchase and welcome to the owners group forum. Plenty of info available when you need it. Don’t forget the pictures, we all love plane pictures.

Welcome to the group. You bought a great plane. Find some old videos of Bob Hoover flying the hell out of the Commander. It will show you what an ex fighter pilot can do with one.

Welcome to the group, we're glad to have you! Congratulations on your Commander 114. You made the best choice for your first GA aircraft. Thank you for your service, and if you have questions or specific needs, don't be afraid to ask.

Welcome to the group. I have #14535, so our aircraft know each other :)
The body of knowledge in this group on all things Commander is amazing and the willingness to share is even better.

Welcome to the group Harry. Hope you are able to meet some of us in person at one of the annual Fall fly-ins held at various locations around the country.

Welcome. You will like the 114. It is a great flying airplane. USAF retired.
