Dear All,
I am Yves, from Talmont St Hilaire, West France. I own a Commander 114. s/n 14407, since 6 months, but only got a chance to fly my plane for a couple of days, in April 2011, as I work far away from my home. I like the shape of this spacious plane very much, which allows me, and my wife to drop our two bikes at the rear, and fly with our dog, for nice walks and rides in West France, especially in Britanny.
I hope I could meet some other Commander pilots soon in my region.
Best regards,
Yves

Thanks for the post, nice to hear from happy new owners. You can get lots of good information on your 114 on the web board.

Re: New COG member from France

Spent last week in your area with 2 days in La Rochelle. Email me with some off forum contact details and I will give you a call next time we are in the area. Alternatively if you come to the London area there are lots of Commander owners at Blackbushe and I would be happy to meet up. lawrence@gbepy.com

Re: New COG member from France

Yves ... I was just looking over your airpark on the internet and on google maps. Absolutely beautiful. Too bad we cannot have the U.S. Commander Fly-In there! Welcome to the group.

Re: New COG member from France

Welcome Yves. ...and congratulations on France's vanguard wisdom in offering a reasonable track to an instrument rating for private pilots. Being able to calculate Mach speed doesn't have much value for most of the Commander drivers. (Some yes, but not most) Hope the other sovereign members suffering under EASA will see the light.
