Jim
I am in for a set.

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Jim, I have Rivnuts on my plates. Do I have to start over, or just buy your bumpers?

Thanks
Mike Wooley

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Two sets for me (for two airplanes). PayPal is works for me.

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Last time I ordered some from Jim I got spare bumpers! I too have the Rivnuts and the bolts have been changed over with new ones. Now what do I do?

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Jim's announcement in the first post mentions that he's including the hardware necessary to switch over to the rivnut system as designed by Commander Aircraft (CAC). So, if you've already done that then you'll just have extra hardware. You should have no concerns about using the existing rivnut that is installed on the cover plate.

Rivnut or nut plate? The mod drawing calls for nut plates although I can see why rivnuts would have been used.

Nut plate.

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

I believe the early 112's and 114's with short nose gear doors, had very similar, if not the same, bumpers in the nose gear door system. Would these new style bumpers also be applicable to that location?

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

I'll take a set also and PayPay works.

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

A second set for me please Jim, for another aircraft.

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Hi Mike,

Confirming, yes the rivnuts are fine, but for those having to remove the nut anyway, I suggest the extra effort to install a nutplate for better security.

So, to be clear for all: You can install the new bumpers three ways:

1. Using nuts like the factory original installation.
2. Using nutplates consistent with the factory Engineering Change Order.
3. Using rivnuts as a minor variation subject to your mechanic's agreement.

Thanks,
Jim

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Jim, Scott Law here, would like a new set please.

Re: New Bumpers... at Last!

Hi Scott,

When we ship, PayPal will automatically generate an invoice, sent to your email.
Then, you just pay that.

Thanks,
Jim
