Hi everyone. My name is Rick Crepas, I recently purchased N423AT, which is a 1978 Commander 114. I am based in Battle Creek Michigan, and hangar at KBTL. I am a 2100 hour pilot with a Commercial rating for SEL and Gliders; Instrument; SES along with tail wheel endorsement. I fly a 1957 Beech T-34B with the Hooligans Flight Team. I am a FAST formation pilot, and fly approximately twenty events per year with the team. We open NASCAR races at MIS and Chicagoland Speedway, the Detroit Grand Prix plus many Veteran events. I love formation flying, but wanted to have an airplane I could travel with.
My wife, Lauren, loves to fly with me, and is truly a joy to be around. We have two young boys, 10 and 13, which we would like to take on trips to make special memories for all of us.
Pat Murphy was instrumental in my decision to purchase a Commander 114. His love of the airplane, vast knowledge and experience, made a believer out of me. Speed was not my most important asset in a plane; comfort, safety and reliability were.
N423AT sports a new interior and panel, very nice paint and a good history. Judi was incredibly helpful in the purchase and made the process relatively easy. Thanks Judi!
We hope to meet many of you as the flying weather improves, and I get the opportunity to make some of the groups fly-ins.
