He left at 6:30 EST and is now over the water. 11,000' and 145 knots. Estimating 4hours 30 min.

I see it on the Spot tracker, but neither FlightAware or PlaneFinder are showing N48CK. Is he flying VFR today?

Internationally to EU...I'd be surprised if it was VFR

Looks like he is withing swimming distance of Iceland.

He left Iceland at 5 am EST. I would guess that would be 8am Icelantic tlme. Not sure of the destination. Could be Wick, Scotland although on his Western passage he departed from Preswick .

CK made it to it's new Guernsey home. a few hiccups on the way.. new 750 and #2 radio went out, lost vac pump
and a nose gear strut lost pressure. John and Nigel will get Garmin stuff sorted out on warranty. Long journey!

So Judy, was without both radios, I assume he had a handheld.

If he lost the 750 he also lost the transponder. (And autopilot ? )

Makes me think again about having all the eggs in one basket. I have never used a G750 but do know that each component has its own breaker. After that not sure how independent each function is.

What a fantastic journey.

N48CK is in reserve/ and the 115 is now 2-GNSY. looks pretty good I think!

I thought they were going to keep the N registeration so as to be able to fly IFR using their US license.

N48CK staying on just made Export CofA simpler to fly out of US.
That 115 is a beautiful model of what a new Commander 115 will be like @ 1/2 the $. ..everything on it was new!!
