Re: A day I will always remember!

Wow! Then there's all those gremlins which can sneak into the aircraft while it's apart... Yes, I would think ferry is better most times.
Thanks for the info...

or the bigger risk of taking it apart and then putting it back together. just takes 'one' knucklehead A&P to damage something!

The 90 gallon tanks can make the trip? I would still have had some fuel sitting in back seat just in case of some serious head winds.

The building of the runway is a great accomplishment. Next goal is a hangar party for the owner's group! Watched the video twice. How long is the runway?

Great link Judy, I have a "Spot" but have not used it since the Alaska trip.

Just checked N900EU on Flight Aware.. 28000' and 270 knots. Probably the only service in aviation where they charge more the smaller the plane is.
He arrived KPMP at 7:41pm.

Life is a barrel of fun.

then there is re-assembly fee/on the other end.
here's a quote I had on N96ET to Australia in 2013.

Judi

Knowing the winds will have a significant role for a trip of this length, what is the ballpark figure for flight hours to cross from the US border? What a cool trip though...

Re: A day I will always remember!

Re: A day I will always remember!

? not sure, Bill, but ballpark 20-24 hrs. Leaving fm So. FL, probably add another 8 hrs.?
Jim has had some fly out fm VT, he would know total distance fm there on over.

Yeah I kept checking on him as well, once in a while, to see where he was. Awesome

What is the plan after Goose Bay?

Narsarsuaq, Greenland. 677nm

Looking for sunset times for Goose Bay. Only a couple of hours daylight left.

I imagine he will wait for daybreak to continue. Weather looks decent for in the morning.

Is he still in Goose Bay? Don't see any movement.

https://planefinder.net/

Doesn't show him airborne yet, and the Spot tracker also shows no movement after Labrador (corrected).

Re: A day I will always remember!

Not the greatest weather right now there...

He might be waiting a bit. not alot of options in Greenland

Pretty good low right east of Greenland between there and Iceland, probably pulling all the snow in
