My bride and I met up with a few Beech Aero Club members in Lancaster, PA (KLNS). We had lunch at the restaurant on field, Fiorentino's, food and service was very good. I think the five of us sat and chatted for a couple of hours before finally heading home. It was a smooth ride on a gorgeous day to meet with friends. We love GA!

Good stuff thanks for sharing !

Fiorentino's, is awesome!
Nancy and I go there on occasion (even tough its only a 10 minute or so flight)

"N3296B is "Noise Abatement 29 Chester County..Harrisburg Apch with you at 3000 requesting a practice RNAV 26 apch KLNS ...Lancaster Tower N3296B inbound with Echo"...
All within about 3 minutes or so...fun stuff!
The issue on the weekends though is trying to get out of there (KLNS) not unusual to be # 7 or 8 for departure!

Gary give me a shout next time you head up this way:)

Hey, once the border is open I will meet you guys there. Fiorentino's is fantastic. My wife grew up in Lancaster and Oscar Mike has adorned that (free to park) apron !

forgot there is no fee there...
Would think the "cheap old Scotsman" in me would have recalled that :p

Thats how copper wire was invented. Fighting over a penny

Good video as usual Gary! I am glad that you are putting our Commanders out there on YouTube. We are underrepresented for sure.

As a fellow "Sundowner" owner, you might be interested that I have become reacquainted with my Sundowner N6008K. My 22 year old son flies it now and has gotten his PPL, IR, and is now working on his Commercial rating with it. I never did get my Commercial rating, so I decided to join him and get my Commercial rating. I am having a blast flying the Sundowner again. Training for this rating is the most fun I have had in a long time.

Good job posting our Commanders - keep up the good work!

As a Commander owner wanna-be, post it up and I'll get one of the club planes to come up out of GAI or FDK.

Gary - this looked like a fun run with good times and good food.

I meet up with the North East Flyers monthly, always a fun meet up. I think Williamsburg is up for April 10th at noon. They have a group on Facebook.

I would really like a group of Commanders to meet, maybe Cambridge MD KCGE or KMIV Millville NJ.

Gary real nice video!! Love the way you put your site together! Love your plane also, and we need to chat sometime as I also have the 60-2 with yaw dampener. I will be heading up your way from Kinston in a few weeks! Curious if you ever flew into Eagles Nest 31E not to far from you?

Chuck,

Thanks! It been a fun time filler in retirement doing the blog and YouTube channel. I have actually been into 31E, Eagles Nest, to visit family on Long Beach Island. We were able to have a rental car left for us at the terminal for our arrival. There is also an honor system for leaving a tie down/overnight fee if my memory serves me. The one thing I do remember is a tower just left of the approach to runway three-two.

Here is my blog post and video from our last visit. We were still flying our Sundowner back then. Family visit to long beach island

If you have time it would be great to catch up for lunch, maybe at KWWD, Cape May/ Wildwood. My contact info 302-545-5314 text or call.
