Looking for Canadian Commander Owners

North of Peterborough .. Kawarthas? Catchecoma? Missasauga? Those are some I have spent a ton of time on.

p.s. Get a Canadian Kidney and you too can be part Canadian!

Buckhorn, Deer, Lovesick, Stony, Clear. Used to stay at a lodge at Burleigh Falls. Just a little south of Missasauga. Some great older Native North American guides up that way. All fished out now so I hear. Probably means the lodge has closed as well. :-(

Been to all of those places. great part of the world. Yeah, so many "cottagers" as they say ... but we still do OK with the fish. But not great, just OK.

My first "big league" muskie came up that way. One time watched a guide untangle an exhausted monster (48"+) from a net and massage his belly until the big old guy finally swam away. Was amazing to me as a little kid.

Re: Looking for Canadian Commander Owners

Hi guys, okay quite a few out of the woodwork so far

Me (FFOM) as well as GNEJ, GOCV, GFNC, GODZ and GAKE ( honorarium to N4843W).

Mathieu mentioned two others in QC and I see one out of CYXU sometimes so I will try to figure out who she is. Met her once and sat in the bird but that was it.

I think Rockliffe sounds like a great location for a Commander Fly-IN north of the border. I am keeping a spreadsheet of those who pop up and as it starts to warm up will reach out to everyone to see if we can make this happen.

Keep em coming !

Cheers,

Re: Looking for Canadian Commander Owners

PS : it won't be a Canuck only event of course !!!

Just thought I would rekindle this Thread seeing that the posting is quite old! Not a Canadian but looking to explore! Anyone interested in meeting for breakfast or lunch?

Is the last posting on Canadian Commander Owners really 2012?

I’ve not flown into Canada yet, but I live close to it and I visit Fargo several times a week, eh?

wow phil so far only you!

I'm in! I have a 114 based at Toronto City Centre (CYTZ).

Does anyone know if Canada might ever accept U.S. Basic Med?
Grant, I'd think keeping your bird at CYTZ would cost as much as a house payment!

Grant good to here from you! How is it to fly into city centre? So far it seems like a lot!

Holly crap I just called STOLPORT about flying down to City Centre and the guy told me that the parking is $70 per day and that does not count ramp fees!

Count me in Chuck, once FNC is out of its annual.
thanks you,
pete

Chuck,

There's also a Landing Fee at CYTZ. It's cheaper to fly into CYKZ and take the crew car downtown. However, the experience and sights of flying into the Island can't be beat. You can even take a 3 minute ferry ride off the island and wander around downtown.

Weather is looking good for Thursday through sunday if anyone wants to meet for Breakfast or Lunch in Central Ontairo ?

Saturday or Sunday would work for me. We could hop up to Collingwood.

P...

I guess I have a wedding to go to on Sat but sunday would work!
