Bummer would love to, but working. Went to 3NP Fri, weird landing on grass in the middle of winter!

Why did you go to Napoleon? Have flown over it many times and thought of trying the little Diner right at the south end. I love a nice grass strip ... or a snow strip. You just kind of "sail it on!"

Walk through that diners parking lot and go to the Napoleon Diner on the other side of the bee supply it's much better! It's where my mechanic and his buddies go from Willow

OK. Funny though, there are a couple of reviews that say the opposite! And a couple of reviews that agree with you!

I met one or your buddies yesterday at Jackson! Retired from Spirit 5 years ago, said he taught you anything good you know. I asked him if he taught you how to do fuel calculations! He had just flown back from Napolean. He was in front of me for the $3.99/gal fuel at the self-serve. It was blowing good and he was climbing the ladder to fill all 4 tanks on his Cessna. He appeared to be about 75 and he did't have sox on, lol, and it was 24 degrees with a stiff wind, so I got out to hold the latter, pull the hose for him, etc. He was very appreciative and told me a buddy of his had a Commander at OZW. So ...

Too bad, there were THREE white with green & gold stripes on the front row, where they should always be. C180, Glassair, & the Commander. I talked to the owner/builder of the Glassair, complimented himand said I was pretty sure he won a big prize at OSH with that bird. He did and he just beamed that someone recognized that. It was absolutely perfect, inside and out.

Sorry
We cannot make it this morning.

The last minute Great Lakes Fly In happened.
Not on 1/13 but yesterday, Feb. 9. There was 3 of us but only two planes. Mike Wetherbee and Rick Crepas flew their planes. I must admit, I had the choice of getting my plane out of the hangar or get into Rick's plane that was warmed up. I got into Rick's plane and enjoyed the flight. His heater works almost too good. Thank you Rick.
Scott had a small issue and did not make it to Jackson but a number of his friends were in from Willow Run and we talked about Scott.

I found the proverbial surprise puddle of hydraulic fluid under the engine compartment ... knocked me out. And while I don't mind being talked about, I think that being put up on such a lofty pedestal to aspire too is selling yourselves short. Seriously Pat, you are a healthy young-ish man, for a retired old geezer, and there is still time for you. WXbee has another 30 years to achieve. And I'll admit, I have been very lucky. So if you fail to achieve Super-Scott-dom Status in this lifetime, who knows? Maybe you will get another go-round. My best wishes for that!
