I was up flying today...

Are you sure the cylinder numbering matches reality? Are the temps showing numbers 1 and 2 really for cylinders 3 and 4? I would think cylinders 1 and 2 would be closest to the prop, which would be normally cooler than the cylinders in the back. I fly a 114, and my #5 cylinder is the hottest. I run my motor at 1400, but that's a 114 motor.

Afternoon Dober, (others)

Who are you and where are you from??
With our new site format a Basic Signature block would really help.;)

I don't know if you are flying in Miami or Anchorage or flying a NA or Turbo which would help in digesting your post.

Clear Skies,
John

Great idea if I seem to have a problem I will sort it out but for now I just know that #3 tends to run the hottest. Anyone know about the S-Tech 60 I was playing with that yesterday and the VS button ether sends you up at 160 ft/min or down per second you depress the up or down. Curious why they chose 160 ft/min? Also reading the tables on performance tables pretty antique! does any one know if Lycoming has any digital information or computer apps?
