First post, first plane. Proud owner of N4719W, a beautiful 1976 114. Will be based out of TKI (McKinney, TX). Still need to ferry it home! Primary mission is short-to-medium cross country flights with family, mostly in Texas and a few trips to Virginia. Looking forward to upgrading the avionics and getting to know other Commander owners!

Congratulations and welcome to the club!!

Welcome Cody. Looks like 19W found a good home. BTW - my sister lives in McKinney. Her husband flies a light sport - not sure where it's kept but probably not too far from TKI.

Welcome, we got a kick out of all the jackrabbits when we stopped in NW TX back in March, Hereford. The Sep Commander fly-in is in TX this Fall. You should put it on your calendar, most any ownership question could be answered in a timely fashion.

Welcome Cody!

Welcome Cody to the Wonderful World of Commanders.

Welcome Cody,

For sure you'll be able to attend the COG fly-in at (T-82) this year . . . Highly recommend.

Neal Clayton used to fly a 114 TC in that area. Sold it last year I believe. Anyway, he's still on the net from time to time. See if you can't link-up with Neal for some good ole Commander chat.

Enjoy!!

John

Welcome to TKI and Commander ownership! Have a hangar or going to tie it down? Ping me when you get it here.

Cody,

Welcome to the Commander Owners Group!

Congrats on your114 purchase!

Welcome I have been tracking you on the AOPA Forum. Many very good comments.

Welcome! I am only in this group since June 2018 and I can tell you that you are flying a great plane and you belong to a great group of enthusiasts. These guys have come to my aid numerous times. I bought my 114B back in June of last year (of course with the help of Judi) and have come to love my airplane.

I am based in Gladewater 07F which is between Tyler and Longview. Probably about a 45 minute flight from McKinney. I have never flown into McKinney before, but I base that time on flying into Addison, which I do quite a bit.

If you or the other Commander pilots at McKinney give me a few days notice, I will treat you to some great BBQ in downtown Longview (Bodacious).

Enjoy your airplane (you will).
