Get rid of the Brackett. Just my opinion. Whether you go with the AirMaze (I believe that's Robin's choice for the HotShot) or the K&N, either is going to produce better air flow.

Look at it this way. The Brackett is a foam filter, and in winter we shove foam into the oil cooler intake to block air flow. Why would you want that on the induction intake?

Over-simplified, but close enough of a comparison to make the point.

Re: Hot shot Air Filter

Hey Frank:

Into annual now and started looking for these filters in Spruce. Does not look like Spruce has any Air-Maze filters for the 360. If they did would you know what part number to use. My docs from Robin do not show what that filters number is.

Thanks

Jeff

Sorry Jeff, I don't have the part number for the HotShot filter. Robin would, of course, if you can get a hold of him. Maybe Sven too?

You could also remove the old filter that Robin installed and check the frame for a part number stamping.

GA has them, $80 last time I got it. 500 hour mandatory change.

Re: Hot shot Air Filter

For those HS guys out there be aware that the air filter that is used does not use any oil added to it. I had several veteran AI guys look at the filter and asked why I have not put oil in it. It was not in the last one, and quite frankly I have much more respect for Robin and Sven. So I call the manufacture and the told me that it is a Donnelson, at least I think what they called it. Any way it needs no oil, so don't do it.
