Good to be aboard. I have no aircraft, but I've joined the COG as part of my research on a potential purchase. I've found the 112A very attractive, particularly from a comfort point of view. I haven't physically examined one yet, but what I've read is very interesting. I won't have much to contribute to the forum at this point, so if it's OK I'll just get "buckled in the back" and let you folks educate me. Many thanks. ;)

Tell us where you’re located and there may be a member nearby that could show you their Commander and possibly give you a ride.

Welcome to the group- you'll find lots of interesting information here.

Welcome to the group! I hope you can meet up with a member and get a closer look at the Commander.

I fly a 112A, it works out perfect for me and my bride.

Welcome to the group. This place is a must for all commander owners.

The 112A is really a 2 or 3 people airplane (2 larger persons and a kid or 3 "skinny people") with the correct fuel load. It's all about that weight and balance. It's underpowered for sure, but once you know the limitation, you should know what to expect. I am burning about 8 to 8.5GPH on my 112 at 10.000 ft.

I will eventually need a 114 in the future, but for now, my 112 fits my mission perfectly.

Good luck with your purchase. :)

Even if they don’t live near, some should be flying down as we get to cooler weather. It’s a ways off, always a few at Sun & Fun.

There's also the "extra kid mod" for under 20k you can add 60lbs of useful load.

You might not want to tell your wife about it though!

Me and 3 granddaughters? (all lightweights) Sounds about right. :D

3 blade MT, and EarthX battery.

I must say, for the 112's the 3 blades and the battery would be awesome. I think the 3 blades are quieter, vibrate less and give you a little boost in performance. (They might be even lighter than the two bladed prop) Carl would know for sure.
