Hi

I'm a private pilot, based in Johannesburg South Africa with a 112 (serial no 303) based at Krugersdorp Airfield (FAKR)

I was a smug Mooney owner, until circumstances dictated that the mooney needed a new owner, And I found an online post offering a share in the Commander.

While I miss the speed of the Mooney, the commander has ramp presence and loads of interior space, It is a really pleasant and comfortable way to fly.

We are looking at the Hot Shot Conversion - our home airfield being 5499ft and summer temps in the low 30's (Celsius) and have read all the reviews comments and discussions covering this and many more topics - I look forward to contributing when I have more time on type.

Re: Hello from South Africa

Welcome Terry. At 5500 ft the Hot Shot sounds like a perfect solution. Lot's of information here and the STC holder, so you should be able to get any question answered.

Re: Hello from South Africa

Wecome Terry. Yeah, the HotShot sound like just the ticket. You are lucky, because there are no end of charlatans and other questionable characters with the latest, greatest aviation gizmos, but Carl Lee who runs the HotShot program is "one of us" and a trusted and reliable friend to all. You cannot go wrong working with him.

Re: Hello from South Africa

So Scott - when are you getting the Hot Shot for your 114? With the amount of flying you do seems like a no-brainer
