Hello everyone.

My name is Marcos and I am from Saint Louis, Missouri. I have finalized the purchase of N1102J (Serial 102), which is a 1973 Commander 112. I've been researching the Rockwell Commanders for a while now on my own and I quite certain I've made the right choice. This forum provides a HUGE amount of information. I am happy I found it.

I love the fact that the commander owner's are like a big family and everyone help each other out. Being the newest member of the family, I would like to say hello to everyone.

Thank you

Marcos

Marcos,

Welcome to the Commander Owners Group.

Welcome, I fly out to Salem, MO quite often, congrats on the plane steve

Hey Marcos- Where are you basing it? k

I am going to be at Creve Coeur Airport (1H0). I thought about going to Festus, MO since it's a little closer to my house, but the runway is very short and narrow over there.

Great choice! Are they still doing the Sunday afternoon cookout every week? I used to stop there a lot. Their was a 112 TCA based there for a few years. I think it left. Good decision on Festus too. I have to use a 172 to go in there. It's pretty short and interesting terrain.... k

They still the Sunday BBQ. I was up there last Sunday and it's still pretty good. Lot's of people still flying in from all over to have lunch at the field.

I truly appreciate the warm welcome. I used to own a warrior PA-28-151 and I have to say WOW... what a difference!!! Commanders are really nice.

Let us know when you get the airplane home. Maybe we can rally some of the Missouri/Illinois guys for a Sunday lunch. k

Congratulations Marcos!

Congrats and welcome, Marcos!

I can't wait to bring my bird home. I took a ride on Allen's 112TC in IL and it felt like a Cadillac in the sky!!!

I spent a few hours with Allen and his 112TC and it was amazing. Judi made the introductions. I was sold right then!!! Allen is an amazing pilot and he opened the Pandora's Box for me.
