New member looking to own a 114 hopefully in the near future. Meanwhile I’ve been reading lots of posts to gather as much info as possible. Would love to find someone in the central Texas area that would give me a introductory flight in their Commander. Eventually will need to find a CFI to give me some transition training in a Commander.

Welcome Ed!

Welcome Ed.. The commanders are the best single engines out there!!!

Ed,

Welcome to the group, and thank you for your service.

Thanks Marcos, Glenn, Judi, and Joel for the warm welcome and to Gary for the service acknowledgement “ Your Welcome”. BTW saw one of your recent videos."

Hi Ed - just up the road from you Hwy 317 between Crawford and McGregor

Hello Keven, I’ve got a hangar at KGTU, Georgetown. Sold my experimental helicopter last month and now looking into my next project. Have liked Commanders for a long time so hopefully a 114 will be in my future. Do you have any views on 12v vs 24v system. Perhaps we’ll meet sometime in the coming months.

Hi Ed,

I just got my 1979 114A last month, so I know what you mean about finding a CFI. I used Kevin Holbrook for my checkout and can recommend him very strongly. He is located in OK, but will come to you.

I am still learning and this group has been a godsend.

Chris

hi Ed 24V has to be twice as good......unless you try to put in a SureFire EMag then it is several thousand times worse. give me a call sometime 281 683-2138

Thanks for the heads up Keven. I was out of town for a couple of weeks which is the reason for the late response.
