Hi All.
I left Orlando Florida at 4.30 this afternoon on a trip back home to Albany, Georgia.
I was expecting headwinds from the forcasts, but never what I experienced today.
I stayed low and only went to 6500 ft. The best ground speed I saw was 85 knots.
I tried higher and got into the 70s, back to 6500 and battled on. Listening to center about
X city they were talking about 100 knot head winds at altitude, do no know what altitude.
I was tempted, but had two passingers. Have always wanted to fly a Commander backwards.
On the way down there Sunday I flew the whole way at 164 knots GS so I guess today was payback day.
Life is a barrel of fun.
