What a wonderful plane and a wonderful group. I started with a Cherokee 140 in 2003 while getting my PPL. I moved into a Glassair 1FT a couple years later.
Took a 10 year break and bought this 112. Finished my insurance requirements and can’t wait to get back to that freedom that I have been missing for 10 years.

Happy New Year Jason. Nice looking 112. Hope that the new year bring lots of new adventures with your new Commander.

Love the Paint, Love the Panel....Congrats Jason, you're gonna love sitting in that airplane flying long distances... Not to mention all the complimentary comments your gonna get on the /ramp

Happy New Year, Jason! What a beautiful plane. I have some panel envy! Congrats!

Dustin

Happy new year and best wishes for successful adventures with the new aircraft!
By the way - what kind of fan is in the background?
Is that standard in air conditioning?

Best regards
Michael

It has a Artic Air AC. Guessing the fan is going to help move cool air from baggage compartment.

Would be great to see some pictures of that install. AC is on the list to figure out sometime soon...

Thanks in advance. And welcome to COG!

Neal

Congratulations Jason. Sounds like you timing is perfect for some spring/summer fun.

These are pics from original installer. I currently have it removed, as that is a very simple task. Haven’t had the chance to use it yet. It’s currently 7 Fahrenheit

Jason,

Welcome to the group! Beautiful plane and panel. Our Commander's are excellent travel machines, enjoy!

Looks a lovely 112 Jason Happy new year from over here, and many happy and safe flying days

Welcome to Commander territory. That was Chuck Wright’s plane who I knew very well. He was a big attendee to all the fly-ins. We hung out at Jekyll Island meeting a few months ago as our planes were parked next to each other. I remember when he bought the plane a few year ago and picked up at Winder, Georgia (KWDR) near me. Chuck? Are you still here or have you moved on to the Pilates bunch?

I was very fortunate to buy from Chuck. It wasn’t easy for him to let go of N1049J. I don’t think he will go softly into the night.

Very interesting installation. It appears the fan at the top is there to push air from the rear of the cabin to the front of the cabin. Will be interested to hear how the system works for you.

Regards,
Neal

ditto on the panel envy ..... but I'm working on that :)

...

Not the envy ....

I knew that I have seen that plane before but just didn't place it. Thanks for making the light go bright ..... What is Chuck going to be flying next?

He was talking about something aerobatic.

Yeah, that’s what it was. He wanted something like a Citabria or Decathalon as I remember.

Chuck put a lot of love, attention and money into that airplane so you lucked into a solid ride :-)
