The Commander Aircraft Corporation has very good news on their web site.
Look under Services, service center, you will find their Repair Station Certificate. This is the news we have been waiting for 3 years from the new company.

That's GREAT News.....if you look closely at the bottom of the issuing certificate you'll also see that it was issued on DEC 6th of 2016. Perhaps since it's already been over 6 months since issuing this repair cert maybe the "Parts" and "Aircraft Refurbishment" are very soon to be Follow.

THIS IS AWESOME NEWS.

Very good news indeed.
Will they take advantage of the free advertising via the AOPA fly-in ?

I find it VERY STRANGE that she's not even communicating with you Judi, As much as you have done and continue to do for the fleet and for as much as you have helped her, continue to help her and can most definitely help her in the future you'd think she'd be ALL ON COMMUNICATING with you about her every move. VERY STRANGE INDEED but I guess most of the peoples from other countries don't exactly think and do things the way the Western peoples do. I'd be taking Advantage of you Judi:eek::D:):p

Re: Great News from Commander - Norman

I know she will @ some point, Todd. they just aren't great responders to the used fleet or see the importance.. and they should!
even CAC understood that back in '88 to '92 when they were willing to ramp up production again. just ran out of money.

Mine cost $521,000.00 in 1996, now given mine is a TC with the factory air conditioning and every other available option that you could get installed in 1996. So based off the price of mine in 1996 I would venture to say a like TC model today would be upwards of $800,000+ to as much as possibly $900,000.00.

Hopefully if/when they start back up production they will install the Lycoming TIO-540 AE2A engine and have full FIKI etc.
