THIS SUNDAY Jackson, MI KJXN 12:00 NOON

This Sunday will me momentous for several reason.
  1. First, it is November and the forecast in 65 and sunny! What a day to fly.
  2. Second, we are going to have a GL COG Fly-in at Jackson, MI, KJXN.
  3. Third, it is the 10th Anniversary of my 11/11/02 Kindey Transplant.
What better way to celebrate than to hang out with folks who share the love of flying. (10 years ago, I was only the 5th person in the US to get their medical back after a transplant. Now there are a couple of hundred.)

Scott: thanks for the notice, unfortunately, I have another commitment that I can not change. I was just over Willow yesterday afternoon for a quick in-and-out at New Hudson (equipment purchase in Wixom) narrow but nice little airport.

I hope I can make it next time.

Congratulations on 10 years and hope you have many more!

Bob, my office is 5 minutes from New Hudson. 30 to Willow ... but you can see why I base at Willow instead of New Hudson!

Hi Scott. Great idea and wonderful reason to celebrate. I will try to make it depending if I can get my safety pilot allocating his time to fly with me. ( My medical is on temporary hold till January/ February. That's what 2 stents does to your medical ! )

Thanks, Rob ... how'd your crops do last year, btw? I am hoping to have a SKYPE meeting this evening with the Melbourne builder to nail down dates in Feb & March so will plan to see you soon!

Scott, those crops went well. We are about to start harvest on this seasons Wheat & Canola, which look quite good, as do the prices thanks to the misfortune of your farmers and your drought.
There is the old saying in there - someones misfortune etc.

Winds were 28 gusting 34, with a 40-45 knot wind shear at 1500'
No one wanted to deal with it. Not sure why.
So I cleaned the garage.
