Great Bay NH

Re: Great Bay NH

altho we won't hv rotating banner much longer, they're both up there, Joel. Judi

Hi Judi! The rotating banner is one of the neatest components of our 'Signing onto the Forum'-each time we do. Why are we going to loose it, and the question is what can we do to keep it?

Re: Great Bay NH

I also like having it there.
I believe the answer is that there is no plug in available for the new server that would it to run.

Re: Great Bay NH

Correct. The rotating banner is an old 3rd party add-in for vBulletin which works fine on this old version of the product, but it won't work with the current vBulletin software.

We'll keep our eyes open for any similar replacement.

Re: Great Bay NH

Went flying after work Monday late afternoon; sorry I don't have the snow capped mountains and other picturesque landscapes so am buying a free beer at Fred fly-in to the first person who can name this city in the attached picture:

1. The city is within class D airspace and I am at 5000 feet to be above its 3900 ft MSL ceiling.
2. The stadium is the home field of a well known college football team that was right behind Clemson and Alabama in the SEC last season.
3. Ben Epps built the first airplane in Georgia in this city.

Too easy to Google that answer.

Re: Great Bay NH

Picture was so crappy I thought I might give extra easy hints. I think if aerial photography was my living I would want for a highwing. Not so easy trying to shoot these pics out the Commander, especially with high winds and the late afternoon sun at the westerly horizon Monday.

Here are some pics of my field and the final one is a manmade lake east of there...not too far from KDNL.

Hang a Go Pro camera from the tail hook - Much cheaper than buying a high wing for photo shoots!!:D
I do and set it for timed exposures every 5 seconds - lots of pictures to go through after the flight.
