Hello,

just joined and stalking posts on these very cool aircraft, I always admired them and have yet to fly one. I had the pleasure of speaking with Judi about a possible acquisition, she is amazing and a wealth of knowledge. My home field is at 5600 elevation, surrounded by 10,000 ft terrain so will most likely need a 112TC?

Welcome to the group! There is plenty of good knowledge shared here so buckle up and enjoy. Home airport 5600? Yikes, we sit at just about sea level here at the Eastern Shore of Maryland with a field elevation of just 12 feet. :)

A 112 Hotshot would be well suited for your location. Welcome to the group..

I spend half my time in SOW which is at 6400 ft. And in and out of places like Gunnison Colorado where our kids live many times. The turbo pretty much makes it a non event.

Welcome to the group. TC is probably a good idea :)

Welcome from another new guy...I have found this place to be immensely helpful.

Thank you all for the thoughtful replies, an wealth of knowledge.

Hello Judi,

Maybe a few crates of small arms, some incendiaries, comms, ammo, whiskey, the usual stuff. LOL!

90% of the time, just my beat up 225lbs , on occasion my wife and maybe the dog

Welcome - either a TC or a Hot Shot sounds like it would work well for you.

In all my caribe travels - I used to keep a flare gun on board as the only legal , lifesaving and somewhat effective defense implement. At that operating altitude , look for a turbo bird

You + full gas is around about 600+ lbs already and you didn’t bring a toothbrush yet.
the TCs have a useful load of about 900-1000 lbs.
