Finally, no longer a student pilot

Punched my ticket today, in the Commander.

Finally got to fly the wife and daughter to dinner. They were thrilled.

Now I am going to rack up some XC time and start instrument training. Feels good to finally log some PIC time.

Hey Rolf,
Just looked it up, as of 2018, FAA says there are 633,317 active pilots in the US; which is the number of pilots with valid medicals...so based on a population 330 million people in the US, pilots make up .00192% of the population!!!...guess we are pretty rare!

My Instrument check ride is in a few weeks, so I can talk your ear off about that! Let me know if you'd like a VFR safety pilot to show you around the SD airspace and split your OPEX.

Congratulations Jamie. There are few things that we hopefully remember for the rest of our lives, wedding, kids birth, solo and off course getting your private pilot's license. Well done. As they say, it's a license to learn.
