East Houston airport recommendations?

Anyone have good intel on airports east of Houston? I need to get to Huffman, TX about 12 miles east of Bush (KIAH)

I am swinging down from Denver, to Norman, OK to pick up my mom and take her to see a friend who is in hospice care in Huffman. I am thinking of either Baytown (KHPY), Liberty (T78) or something different if someone has a good recommendation. I looked at North Houston - and I am not too sure about it.

I am going to start calling FBO's tomorrow and plan on being in TX on Friday morning. I need to get a rental car for a few days - it will be a weekend visit - so thinking Baytown. I welcome any ideas or suggestions.

After looking where Huffman was (I had never even heard of "Huffman") the two closest airports to there that I have actually flown into are Houston Hobby and Conroe - North Houston Regional (KCXO).

Baytown seems like a hike and through alot of traffic. I have never flown into North Houston 9X1 so I can't speak for that one.

I will say that Conroe - North Houston is a great airport - towered, 7500' runway with ILS, and a fantastic FBO (Galaxy) that has great service and very reasonably priced. That would not be too long a drive to Huffman from what I can tell.

If I don't fly into Hobby, I tend to fly into West Houston (KIWS) so the east side is a little less familiar to me.
