Dauphin Island

Heading for our first time down to Dauphin Island this Thanksgiving.
We realize there are really no services at 4R9, and we currently have a car reserved at Mobile KMOB, it now i am thinking it might be easier to get a car at KPQL just to avoid the back and forth to the terminal at KMOB and to avoid Signature. Anyone with experience at either?

Also, any tips/recommendations for Dauphin Island also appreciated…..

Make sure you do at least one landing at 4R9. It's a thing of beauty.

Yeah I plan to be based there for the week, just need to get a car first

Interested to read your follow up PIREP. Mary and I are always looking for new places to visit. We loved the beach at Gulf Shores when we vacationed there.
