Re: Congratulations Petie

I couldn't see the altitude on FA for some reason. How high did you take it Pete?

Re: Congratulations Petie

Congrats Pete.!

Re: Congratulations Petie

More later. I was at 11.5k for the trip, 12.5 minutes for climb out from PRB (850 ft to 11.5K) at 95 kts IAS, hotest CHT 383. She climbs like crazy. inroute, 24.8 inch MAP, 2360 RPM, 16.2 FF, 1570 TIT, TAS 150 KTS, fuel EFF 10.2, 74% PWR, 193 HP, oil 188 deg F. Hotest CHT #3 at 360 F. I could have run her harder, ie faster, but still in the learning mode with my HOT SHOT. This is what I've dreamed about that my Commander should do. Can't wait for more flights. I will be taking her a lot higher as testing and time go on.
Can't say enough about what Carl has done for our airplanes, what a great job he did on my bird. This is an absolute first rate upgrade for my plane. Thank you Carl.

Re: Congratulations Petie

Pete, can you post some photo's of the completed upgrade when you have time. Really considering the same.

Yes Judi, what a difference.

Re: Congratulations Petie

Just another reason to say "it's good to be Petey"!
Congrats Pete, can't wait to see it. Btw, are still only using the red knob with the hot shot?

Re: Congratulations Petie

Bill, actually yes. TIT is the flying limit now. What's new is not having WOT.......

If you are operating LOP, why not have WOT? Not trying to restart the LOP / ROP debate up again, but "flying the red knob" seems to imply LOP operations. Deakin, Braly, and Atkinson at APS would say with a "conforming" engine, a TN airplane can certainly be flown WOT, LOP, as SOP.
