I haven't been in the air since our return from Jekyll Island. I really needed to scratch the flying itch so after 33 days on the ground I finally fired up 3 Tango Charlie and got some air time. I enjoyed a beautiful day here at the beach and flew the coastline. Mary and I have plans for a get-away weekend in Boston for next week.

Those are some great views Gary. Thank you for sharing.

Gary - if you're in the Boston area take a flight up along the Maine cost at about 2,000ft. Pretty clear past Portland Class C - beautiful over the coast and islands.

We loved Maine, can't wait to go back. Mary and I spent a long weekend in Stonington back when we flew the Archer. The town was quiet, out of the way, no cell service unless you found the locals secret spot, and we ate lobster every night. I remember flying the coast line and telling Mary I wish I had a dollar for every boat we see, it is a beautiful area.

Every time we cross the RT 90 or RT50 bridge driving into town I still can't believe we live here. I'm glad my bride talked me into retirement at the beach. ;)

Gary, I’ve enjoyed your videos! I’m wondering which of your avionics is putting out the runway length warning? My 480 puts out a 500 ft altitude alert and the Lynx transponder gives me traffic alerts when other aircraft get close. Just curious if it’s your Aspen or maybe your ADSB set up.

Rolf,

Thanks, I enjoy making them.

Foreflight on my iPad mini 5 provides all the warnings. I get RWY length, terrain, traffic…etc.

i do not get any audible warnings from my 480 except for a tone when a message pops up. I can’t seem to figure out the secret handshake. ;)

Chuck,

We are headed up Friday late morning. Flying into OWD, not sure what FBO. Trying to find hangar space for the few days there but I was quoted $100-$300 a night!!! I would like to squeeze in a flight to LWM, Lawrence, Ma to visit friends there too, but not sure if that will happen. We plan on heading home Monday, the 8th.
