I believe that I have the answer as to interest for having a gathering at CCR. Not much interest. A few expressed interest coming from outside the N. Cal. Area. Virtually none inside SF Bay Area. So let's drop that idea. It is simply too much planning and effort for the kind of response received especially when it is so easy to do what Carl does in PRB. Gather at a airport restaurant on short notice, say a week.

My annual trip to SF is usually in Oct which tends to be the warmest month there and coincides with fleet week (the week of Oct 9 in 2012).

Blue Angels have it on their schedule once again next year.
Might consider scheduling something surrounding that weekend.

This time of year is not all that easy for us in the Pacific northwet to get out sometimes due to ice but Id be in if I can make it. The October suggestion is a great one too.

Annual COG flying is usually first weekend of Oct. Just sayin'...
