That is actually a typical Michigan road after winter. They tell us it is because of our harsh winters but Indiana roads are light years better than ours and they have winter there too.

Wisconsin and Minnesota have same or worse weather and their roads are dramatically better. The issue is trucks. No one in the northern states has truck weight limits anywhere as high as we do and everyone knows that is what kills our roads ... but the damn trucking lobby is so powerful here that no one has ever been able to change it. The stupidity is astounding and the costs and consequences are astronomical.
