Joel & I talked about this factor also: Fees!
The outrageous fees they added in recess years. Let's hope (for GA sake) the repeal those and make Flying the Bahamas inviting (no fees) as when we went in the early 90's.
Just horrible.

I go there all the time and its a beautiful place to go. I go to the Abacos and yes it is a little bit pricy for fees but it is Paradise and is a very short flight from states. You will spend a lot more in States at a condo in Destin than you will down there. Everyone should look on internet at Pilots Retreat Guana Cay that's where I go and its great. Check it out.
