Staniel Cay is one of my favourite spots. You will need to rent a zodiac to get to the beach. However, the food and ambiance is Fantastic.

Forgot to mention that the FBO at Fort Pierce will rent you life jackets and a raft. The raft is a great security blanket. I have my own jackets and ALLWAYS wear one when I'm going over to the Islands. The last time I was over (Great Harbour Cay, Governor's Harbour and Freeport), the Noseem's (little bitting bugs) were a constant nuisance. I had "Off" with me, however, it didn't help. It might be a good idea to take a bug spray with DET.

Staniel Cay is a nice spot, good bar and restaurant, but lacks a good beach near the property. Nice runway close to the property.
