As we all expected, there will be many fly-ins across the country celebrating the eclipse, all the way from Texas on up to French Lick and on to the Northeast. I’m out of the pathway but I’m happy to see just how many events are scheduled. I never thought of flying out for a $100 eclipse! A hamburger, yes, but not an eclipse!
Anyone planning on posting pictures?

I am flying in to Cape Girardeau (Missouri)... the eclipse will pass right on top of it. I've heard that Poplar Bluffs (which is right next door) is charging 150 ramp fee. Another good option will Sikeston, MO (also in great view of the eclipse. There is a very famous restaurant there called Lambert's Cafe (Home to of the throwing rolls) and the food is pretty good.

I’m flying up to Watertown NY, KART, which will be directly under it. Weather around her is funky this time of year though. Could be 70 & sunny, could be 25 and snow.

I served the Army at Fort Drum, NY (10th Mountain Division) and I used to go to Watertown all the time. Good memories.

Weather is funky for sure over there!! :D:D:D

Have fun at the eclipse! I'm a bit too far this time but the 2017 one was breathtaking.

IMG_1405.png I went today, posted in the ‘Today’s Adventure’ section. It was worth it to me, I just did the airborne thing, didn’t land near the centerline.
