Anyone interested in a non flying 112?

Hey Rod,

Where in Ontario is the new Commander?

Hey Phil,

According to the Civil Aviation Register its now with a chap called Jamie Alexandre... At CJA2. If you look at the CFS he is the owner of that field. If memory serves its also the home of a small AME shop. Its down near Port Dover on my list to check out. Grass landings would be fun ;-)

Cheers, Rod.... I'll be at Buttonville a bunch soon. Hopefully run into you for a coffee at some point...

Hi Rod,

Let me know when you plan to be at Buttonville and we can plan a coffee. Maybe Chuck or Grant will join us.

Hey guys keep me in the loop! will be flying to Florida for my Aspen upgrade! And then returning to Uxbridge! Just so you guys know I am in the process of building a 60X60 heated hangar at Lindsay Airport.

Hell of a commute for an avionics upgrade - or just an excuse to fly to Florida?
Don't forget to hit the Bahamas while you are down there. :D

Will do sounds like a plan. 60 by 60 hanger in Lindsay... I will put that on my list of places to visit also... I keep meaning to fly my younger kids up here to hit the go cart track right by the field!

where is Lindsay ?

Sorry guys I have been traveling! Dropped the plane off in Florida KBVK and its getting the new Aspens! I went there because thy did the original install and I wanted them to take care of a few things! Great flight from Texas to Florida a lot of Military traffic and some intense GPS jamming going on!

Confirmed on the Hangar Build if anybody has suggestions fire away this is my first time diving into this!

Curious where you ran in to the GPS jamming. I was flying from KVDF to KCTY a few weeks ago and my 530 kept losing GPS signal...then get it back...then lose it. I went to the SAT page and I could watch ALL the signals dying and then, suddenly, snap back to 3D Nav. Interestingly enough, my Stratus never had a problem. No NOTAM about GPS signal degradation was posted but the Whiskey areas in the Gulf, closest to Florida, were all hot.

I've run into lost signals as well in my area. I one specific place. I ended up radioing Memphis Control Center about it. My Ipad did not have an issue, but I was told that devices like that may not report a loss signal for a short amount of time.

Makes sense in reference to the Stratus/iPad not showing any signal loss. My 530 was only losing 3D Nav for a second or two....but it was happening continuously (about every 10-15 seconds) for the last 10 mins in to Cross City. Headed back to KVDF an hour or so later, it was fine.

This was near Mobile west of I think! Also my 796 was fine and I was informed by Garmin that the non certified units probably would not be effected because of a less sampling rate. This is just what a was told!
