Looking at a 1976 114 (N1907J). Anything I should know about this model before digging deeper?

JBG,

Ditto to contacting Judi. She is a font of knowledge.

Also look at where you are, what/how/where you want to fly. If you’re in the mountains and flying high altitudes, a TC version might be better.

Ask questions on this forum and/or the shop you have for a pre-buy.

I went through this rodeo about 10 years ago or so. A 114 came into my life and I have to say it has been one of the greatest adventures of my life (so far).

Good luck!

Make sure the pre-buy is by a person very acquainted with a Commander 114. It is an outstanding airplane and not all that hard to work on. As mentioned ask your questions and you will get a lot of help.

JBG,

You may also want to let people know where you’re located. You may have the chance to meet up with one of us locally. I’ve met a few folks before to help them out with questions, answers and physically how it looks and feels.
