A great day for flying

Took a trip to just fly. Took off at my home airport Pearson Field KVUO followed the Columbia River to Astoria, OR KAST. Landed and just watched planes take off and land. Took off from KAST turned South to fly down the Pacific coast Flew South about 35 minutes and then turned back towards my airport.
Flying south had ground speed of 84kts @ 7500ft. When I turned North to go back home 214 mph!!!!! Fastest I have ever had my 114. Beautiful NW 50 degree sunny day.

It’s always good to get some airtime. Short hops here too, at least until things open up again.

Nothing but short hops (hour or so) for close to a year now. Least hours this year of any year since I started flying.

Hoping for it to change in 2021!

I also had a great flight down to FA40 hidden lake where Jim b lives. Flight back to Kinston NC 4 hr 15 min non stop and fantastic

I don’t have the pic insert down. I just learned that my first airplane was destroyed in a tornado at that airport (Walterboro in SC)
