Re: A day with my daughter

Sven -

Been out of pocket for a while...just got to watch your video. As one with a wierd sense of humor I found one line hysterical:

Explaining the VASI to Kjersti: "And red over red means you're dead...here I'll show you"
and we all picture Sven diving 82J into the ground to illustrate a point <g>.

Sven, What camera are you using. Having trouble finding decent system with line-in or mic for use with intercom. Has anybody tried the remote "lipstick" type cameras with seperate recorders. Sound from intercom sounds to be the most difficult part to do.

Wynand, I know Sven is using an HD model, but I've also had good luck with the Canon FS11. In addition to the built-in mic jack, it has 16GB of memory built in and can also take cards if you want more recording time. Should be less than $400. And while not HD, quality is very good.

Frank - great comment ... lol

An ex-fighter jock pal sent this to me today. I am sure all of you recall the famous poem "High Flight" which was written by a Spitfire pilot in the RAF in WWII. Somehow, when I read this, I thought of Sven!

Sven

Really enjoyed the entire video, can't believe we sat here for 37 minutes - only thought it was about 10.

Thanks for sharing this. Looking forward to the Alaska videos, since I am not allowed to come and play out there (work not Sue!!!).

Scott

You reminded me of a limerick I heard years ago, it goes like this:

There was a man from Bangor
Who flew his plane in anger
He flew it quite well
Until he hit the church tower bell
And he dropped what you might call a clanger

(FYI - Bangor is a small town in N. Wales, UK and a clanger is a blunder)

Anyone wanting audio from the ICM, it's simple: direct from the ICM jack to the camera Mic in jacks with a 1meg ohm in line on each channel.

You need the camera with Mic in jacks tho. Not all have them.
