Any word on numbers of Commanders? I hope to be there Wed or Thurs. I guess I just take a chance where they will park me.

Dave,
We will be arriving on Monday and parking the plane at Fond Du Lac. We will be looking for Commander tails standing tall at Oshkosh.

I'm not an owner but am in love with Commanders. It's my dream plane to own when the time comes.



I'm planning to be at AirVenture Friday and Saturday, and I'd love to find someone with theirs and take a look in person, if only to deepen my desires for one!

Are you keeping track of everyone that's going this year? I'm heading out tomorrow on Southwest, will arrive after lunch and staying thru Wed mid-afternoon. Staying at a hotel in Appleton.

I know Bob will be there too, and a bunch have posted in various topics on the board that they will be there as well. Would be fun if we knew what days everyone was going to be there, and maybe get together for a lunch or dinner.

I do not have list of those coming to Oshkosh. I did not try to get one because we leave on Wednesday

I listened to Fiske approach a bit prior to shutdown, seems like it was much crazier a few hours prior. Once the weather broke, many tried to squeeze in. I can’t blame the controllers, where does it end?

They need the planes parked, engines shut down by 8:00 P.M.. Calling on the arrival with 5 minutes to go won’t cut it. I don’t think whining about fuel let’s you cut in line either, other airports are more suitable.

Hopefully things settle overnight. I’ll be ready on the early side of the opening hour. On a good note, the weather looks rather nice going out a ways.

I parked near you at Fond Du Lac today. Maybe we meet up with other Commander folks at Oshkosh.

Yes, we held over Green Lake a while Monday morning(0730’ish), with 20+ others swarming around. There were more filtering in as we held too. We didn’t have any close calls, just not somewhere to stay any length of time.

I have normally scooted right in Monday morning, when parking was available. Since the trend wasn’t promising we opted for Fond du Lac. FDL was fine, bus ride up to $27 round trip. I think a good option would be to Uber/Lyft up(shared ride), then one-way bus back.

Anyhow, it was fun at Airventure. I think that one full day will be enough this year.
