114SM is out of the shop and covered 850 miles today with 2 cases of beer aboard from the Pacific Northwest.

Can't wait to meet everyone

Nope. We brought some good stuff. Trying to convert Judi into a real beer drinker.

We made it to St Ignace MI tonight despite mother natures best efforts to keep us away. 4 days on Mackinac Island starting tomorrow then off to Dayton.

Going to be a great week

Tim, I flew from MI to Charlotte NC today. very busy up there. sonce you are close, a stop at both Beaver Island and Put_in_Bay are both in order

Whew! Dodged a bullet...

I just now realized that I screwed up my hotel reservation "start date"... I had reservations from Thursday PM to Sunday AM, whereas I intended to arrive on Wednesday! Yikes!

Fortunately, Gena was able to add the extra day on Wednesday, so I should be there tomorrow!

Can't wait!

Just Landed this afternoon from the Bahamas got to work late tonight on bids and tomorrow plan to leave on Thurs for early afternoon arrival. Yeah that will work Scott. LOL Going to be a blast cant wait. My liver is conditioned from the Bahamas for 5 days lots of Nippers drank and now for Red Bull and Vodka RRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not believe that you are Commander pilots, maybe even instrument rated, and you are not capable of making a simple hotel reservation.

You were probably confused about zulu time and got your arrival time and dates messed up. I am sure that the fine lady at the hotel read back your instructions, and you confirmed that her read back was correct.

I am planning to leave on Thursday morning, my board of directors have approved this as long as I have all the bills paid before I leave.

Quite a lot of planning involved in attending a safety meeting like this. Filling the oxygen bottles, checking fuel prices for the journey, a little spit and shine on the Commander.

I have been talking to customers today trying to explain that I will be out of the office for the rest of the week, the bastards think that I am taking a vacation.

Those who have already arrived on the crime scene, tell me more about the triple sheeted beds at the hotel. I may have to borrow a few goose feathers from each pillow to take back to Georgia with me.


Life is a barrel of fun.

Hey Vince just landed here in Wichita. Didn't even tell me he was coming thru. Were about to get some T storms. Don't know if he is staying or pressing on though.

Regarding tomorrow (Wednesday), we'll be leaving MGY around 7:30 am to head up to Grimes field for breakfast around 8 am. We'll then be in the museum for a couple hours are will then proceed over to Hartzell for a 1:30pm factory tour.

If anyone can join us at either location, please just drop in. Otherwise we'll see everyone at the hotel/airport.

Can't speak for Don, but in my case it was even worse: I used the web site to get my reservation! No excuse at all! LOL. I stand (or technically - sit) appropriately chastised and humbled. (Seems to happen a LOT lately.). Probably just too excited about my first COG Fly-in... But Gena (the hotel coordinator for the event) could not have been more helpful and nice about it.

PS - instrument rated only in helicopters... Still working on the ground school for fixed wing instrument rating, and hope to give it to myself as an early Christmas present...

Pat Murphy is here and I understand that Bob Welsh is around and will be at Grimes but I haven't seen him yet. We were out for dinner last evening and didn't get by the airport so if someone else got in late we didn't run into them.

Sure wish we were coming in today but 1 more day of work. We will arrive tomorrow but thinking early afternoon. will anyone be coming in tomorrow afternoon 1-2PM ????

I'm sorry to say I have to cancel this year just to much life getting in the way. I will try to make it out your way next year ken. I know you miss Seirra Bravo. 2015 I will be back to roaming the Country. I will be canceling my reservation in a couple hours for Friday & Sat. So a spot will open up.
