112A Parts

Hello Commander community, we are going to be working on a 1976 112 that did a gear up landing. I am asking anybody that would know where we can get replacement parts, i.e. nose gear doors. Also, the landing light is mounted on the nose strut and the part catalog we have doesn't show this configuration, is this an STC? We don't have the log books yet.
Thanks

Re: 112A Parts

Nose gear doors can be re-skinned. Associated Aero in OKC can do some of this work, too. No new parts for older 112/A/B's available, so only salvage yard or repairs are available as options.

Nose gear landing light is usually a mod for 112's with the Hot Shot turbo-normalizer STC.

Re: 112A Parts

James Cole was parting out 3 x 112's (Jacksonville Fla). Semi dated, not sure what he has left.

Brad,

You have got it backwards on the Hotshots. The lower cowling light has to be removed to fit the turbo behind the cowl.

Life is a barrel of fun.

I think they had it right - they need the nose gear mounted light that was installed on HotShots, when the one in the cowl was removed.

Re: 112A Parts

Carl Lee has replacement lights that are mounted on the main gear struts.
